Remove the nut from the tension spring. Make note of the spacers and lock, as you will need to reassemble them in the same order. |
Remove the two Phillips head screws from the lower track and the top screw from the division bar. The frame will now separate into two pieces allowing the removal of the vent window glass. |
Use silicone spray to assist in installing the new rubber. If you have difficulty pressing the rubber in place use a dull putty knife but be careful not to cut the rubber. |
Remove the division bar channel run to reveal the retaining clips. Pry the clips up, install the new vent rubber and bend over the tabs. |
Install the new channel run and tighten the top frame screw. Next re-install the two Phillips head screws for the lower frame track. |
After you adjust the tension spring and check the operation of the vent window, bend over the locking tab. |
The vent window assembly is ready to re-install. |
