With the coolant drained and the top hose removed the radiator shroud needs to come off next. |
But as you can see in this picture the fan blade need to come off first. |
Remove the 4 nuts and lock washers, then carefully slide the fan assembly forward. When you’re clear of the water pump studs lift the fan and shroud up as an assembly. |
With the fan and shroud out of the way it’s easy to get to the lower radiator hose clamp. |
Always use a line wrench to avoid rounding off the corners of the fitting. |
The auxiliary oil cooler and lines can remain in place. If you want to paint the radiator support now would be the time. |
The new radiator sits down on the original bottom rubber cushion mounts. |
The fan shroud needs to go in first before you can lower the radiator into place. |
